CARING FOR MY JEWELLERY

Please bear in mind that jewellery may naturally develop a slight patina over time due to its inherent malleability.

Vermeil, on the other hand, is a layer of 18k gold over a sterling silver base. While it will retain its lustre for longer, it does require special care.

Regular Cleaning

Care for your jewellery by cleaning it regularly with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid the use of harsh chemical products.

For a deeper clean, you may immerse your jewellery in a gentle cleaning bath made by mixing lukewarm water with a mild soap. Let it soak for a few minutes and use a soft-bristled brush to remove any impurities. Ensure your jewellery is thoroughly dried after cleaning to prevent oxidation.

Proper Storage

Store your jewellery in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent oxidation.

Remember to remove it before activities such as handwashing, swimming, intense exercise, or applying beauty products. Avoid direct contact with hard surfaces that may cause damage.

Vermeil

The repolishing process for vermeil involves reapplying the gold plating, which requires specific expertise and specialised materials.

While vermeil offers a long-lasting brilliance, it is important to be aware that maintaining this finish may require additional investment. By taking preventive care of your vermeil jewellery, you can extend its lustre and reduce the need for repolishing.

Avoid contact with chemicals and excessive friction to preserve the plating. If necessary, seek advice from a professional for specific guidance
